A few weeks ago I was absolutely blown away when I received the most beautiful package in the mail.
It was a gorgeous box which included products from the Sixties Vibe ELES Mineral Makeup range.
Every season ELES come up with a look to represent the season.
Spring 2013’s Sixties Vibe is
all about vibrant youthful eyes and with these soft velvety shades of Aubergine and Purple, the eye whites pop! Team the strong eye with a flawless complexion and nude lips for modern Bardot style beauty.
I was sent the Quad shadow in Debutante $ 99.00, Dimensional cake liner in Plum crazy $ 39.00, Browblender in Dark Taupe $ 42.00, Mineral blush in Coral sun $ 39.50 and the micro bubble lipstick in Micro Bon Bon $ 39.50.
Step 1 – Primer
I applied the Urban Decay Pore Perfecting complexion primer potion to give my foundation a great base and to help diminish my fine lines. I normally apply my foundation at this point but because the eye makeup is quite strong, I chose to apply my eye makeup before my foundation so that I could clean up any fallout.
Step 2 – Eyeshadow
Next was my favourite Urban Decay Primer potion to prepare my eyelids ready for the eyeshadow.
Using the Debutante Quad follow the steps below
Step 3 – Eyeliner – Dimensional cake liner in plum crazy
Step 4 – Mascara & Brows: Lush mascara & Browblender in dark taupe
I applied two layers of the ELES Lush mascara for this look as it gives the lashes definition without clumping.
The Browblender in Dark taupe is a very pigmented brow pencil that is easy to apply and has great lasting power. Once I applied the pencil to my eyebrows I combed them into place with the spoolie on the end of the pencil.
Step 5 – Face
Concealer: As you will know by now, I need a great concealer to rid me of the dark circles that plague me. I turned to my trusty Couleur Caramel Dark Circle Corrector. You can read my review here.
Foundation: For this look I wanted a flawless canvas so I used my Make Up Forever Liquid Lift foundation. It photographs beautifully due to it not containing any SPF and makes my skin look and feel fabulous.
Blush: The suggested blush for the ‘Spring Sixites Vibe’ is one of my favourites – the Mineral Blush in Coral. This was featured in the Winter look and has become one of my firm favourites. I have been using this almost every day since I received it.
Powder: When I use a liquid foundation I like to add a light dusting of translucent powder. For this I used the Becca Blotting powder perfector in Transluscent. It doesn’t alter the colour of the foundation and keeps it fresh all day.
Step 6 – Lips
As a blonde I find nude lips really tricky to pull off. I didn’t want to have a strong lip so I was sent the Micro Bubble lipstick in Micro Bon Bon which offered me a little more colour than a nude lip but didn’t overpower the look.
The finished look:
I absolutely love the items that are included in the Sixties Vibe. The colours in the Debutante Quad are beautiful and suit my fair skin but would look equally lovely on darker skintones.
I love that for the last few ‘looks’ ELES have included products from the previous collection. This makes it really easy for you to just add the extras and to use the new ‘look’ as inspiration for creating new and exciting looks.
I always eagerly await the new season collection and there has been a teaser on the ELES Facebook page in the last week which has me both excited and intrigued.
What do you think of the ELES Sixties Vibe collection? Which product has caught your eye?
