In the interests of saving money I have been looking at ways that I can cut my beauty budget without looking like I have
I have reduced my visits to the beauty salon, I’ve stretched out my hair appointments, and I have been doing as many beauty routines as I can in the comfort of my own home.
I can easily go months without having my eyebrows waxed as I am happy to maintain them at home myself, but I simply cannot go without dyeing them.
I don’t have any grey hairs on my head, but I have lots of them in my eyebrows! This means that my eyebrows look thin and I am constantly having to try to make them look fuller by filling them in.
I included the 1000 Hour Eyelash & Eyebrow dye kit in my March Favourites but I have been asked to show how easy it is to use so be prepared for some scary, up close photos! Not only do you get to see my eye bags, but my very dark rings that I forgot to conceal before photographing – woops!
The 1000 Hour Eyelash & Brow Kit comes with dye, developing liquid and a plastic applicator and is priced at $18.95 and is available at Priceline and The Beauty Office.
Before using 1000 Hour Eyelash & Brow Dye Kit.
- Dispense 1 centimetre of the dye and add 10 drops of the developing liquid and mix until combined.
- Apply a small amount of vaseline around the eyebrows to protect the surrounding skin.
- Apply dye to eyebrows and let develop for 10 – 15 minutes.
- Wipe off dye with a dampened cotton pad.
As you can see my brows look fuller and darker without looking overly obvious.
I LOVE this kit. It is so easy to use and extremely economical. The pack states that you should get 12 applications, but I believe I will get more like 15.
What do you think?
Do you dye your eyebrows? Have you tried doing it yourself?
