Skin Doctors Cosmeceuticals

{Sponsored by Skin Doctors}

Since returning from our overseas trip I have been feeling every bit of my 46 years as I seem to have developed a bit of insomnia.  This has not only been annoying, but has left me looking tired and drawn.  So you can imagine my delight when I was asked if I would like to try some of the Skin Doctors range of skincare as their range of products combat almost every skincare issue you could have.

Skin Doctors Cosmeceuticals are industry leaders in the development and marketing of breakthrough, clinical strength cosmeceuticals that offer consumers topical alternatives to surgery. Skin Doctors products are based on cutting edge formulations developed in conjunction with leading research institutes and cosmetic surgeons. Clinical strength results. No doctors, no needles, no pain!

Whilst I am sure a Plastic Surgeon would have a field day offering every conceivable nip, tuck and lift to brighten up my tired face I am not planning on going down that route yet (if ever), so any product that claims to be able to give me results without going under the knife is definitely going to spark my interest.

I was sent 4 different products to trial so I decided to narrow down my choice to just 2.

I have my pigmentation and dryness under control at present but elasticity and and firmness are areas that could use some improvement.

The names of the products certainly helped make the decision for me though.  Who doesn’t want an ‘Instant eyelift’ and a ‘Superfacelift’?

Superfacelift RRP $59.95 50mL

SuperfaceliftTM is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of forehead wrinkles by 86% and crow’s feet by 63% in just 8 weeks! Its cosmeceutical strength formula helps smooth wrinkles and tightens and firms a sagging complexion by supporting the health of your skin’s structure. Look dramatically younger with long term results.

Skin Doctors Superfacelift cream

My main areas of concern are my slightly saggy jowls and frown lines.  I was recently told that I will need two courses of Botox before I would see noticeable improvements, so if I can get any improvement through using Superfacelift then I am game to give it a crack.  I would be happy with even a 20% improvement Smile

Due to the inclusion of Vitamin A and lactic acid I notice a ‘prickly’ feeling when I first apply the cream but it fades very quickly and hasn’t caused any inflammation or redness.  My skin is looking bright and refreshed even though I haven’t been feeling that way at all due to my lack of sleep.

So far I have been using Superfacelift for about two weeks and I am really pleased with how it works with my foundation and how bright and refreshed I am looking.  I can’t wait to share my thoughts after my normal 4-6 week trial.

Instant Eyelift RRP $39.95 10mL

Instant EyeliftTM is an amazing eye serum that helps you to dramatically smooth away the appearance of wrinkles, bags and puffiness.  Instant EyeliftTM offers you results that may last up to 8 hours* – so you’ll look great the whole day (or night) through!

Skin Doctors Instant Eyelift

It is really rare for me to be blown away by a product upon first application but this serum is AMAZING!

As soon as I applied it to my undereye area I could feel the tightening and as the next couple of minutes passed could see a definite reduction in my smile lines.

I have never used a product anything like it.  My undereye looks smooth, feels tightened and I couldn’t be happier.

Application is easy – you just apply a thin layer of the serum in a crescent shape and let it dry for a couple of minutes, making sure not to make any strong facial expressions during that time.  Whilst you are waiting for it to dry you can feel the skin firm up and the smaller lines disappear.  It is like magic.

I have tried using it both with and without an eyecream and would definitely suggest using an eyecream underneath to help keep your undereye area hydrated.  Just ensure you leave enough time for the eyecream to absorb before applying the Instant Eyelift.

Beforeafter Skin Doctors Instant Eyelift

In the interests of keeping things real, here is a before and after of the Instant Eyelift.  Unfortunately the camera didn’t want to play nicely on the ‘before’.  I think it was trying to protect me by not showing me how bad the bags look under magnification!!

The other two products that I was sent were:

SD White & Bright RRP $49.95 50mL

SD White & Bright is a breakthrough skin lightening and brightening complex that contains clinically proven and effective ingredients to help target and prevent skin discolouration to help you achieve a clear, bright porcelain complexion.

Recently I read a report which stated that when people were shown photos of subjects with uneven pigmentation they were deemed to look older than those with wrinkles, so the Skin Doctors SD White & Bright is the perfect product to try if you suffer from these issues.

The SD White & Bright addresses your pigmentation by using  β White TM which is a game changer in skin brightening and pigmentation correction.  In a clinical study it was found to be 25% and 24% more effective than Vitamin C and Arbutin respectively and results have been seen in as little as two weeks!

Supermoist 24hr hydrating face moisturiser RRP $ 44.95 50mL

There is no question as to who this cream is designed for as the name says it all.

If you have super dry skin which requires a big dose of moisture then this is the cream for you.

The advanced moisturisers in SupermoistTM not only give you an instant moisture injection but they will actually form an invisible hydrating barrier that keeps moisture within the skin for up to 24 hours a day. This incredible moisture barrier together with antioxidant (free radical scavengers) and a sunscreen will also keep potential environmental damage away.

There is nothing worse than using a moisturiser that feels fabulous upon application but then disappears throughout the day leaving your skin dry and parched.  The Supermoist contains Resurrection plant from South Africa which is extremely rich in antioxidants and is especially helpful in rectifying oxidative changes caused by UV.

The Skin Doctors range is extensive and addresses skin concerns such as Oily skin, acne, pimples, dull and lifeless skin, ageing and wrinkles so there is bound to be a product to suit your skincare needs too.

Other products that have caught my eye are Airbrush Face as it claims a 93% reduction in wrinkles in only 28 days and the Supermoist SPF50.  By adding an SPF50+ to the Supermoist moisturiser you have the best of both worlds – great hydration along with sun protection – it’s a marriage made in heaven.

When compiling this post I had a couple of questions for the team at Skin Doctors and I was really impressed with their professionalism and their knowledge.  They want you to choose the most appropriate product for your skincare concerns so if you are not sure which products to choose, please use the Ask an Expert form on their website.  Give them as much information as you can and they will get back to you as soon as they can with their suggestions.

Skin Doctors products are available at pharmacies nationally and also at www.skindoctors.com.au.

Have you tried the Skin Doctors range before?  What are your main skincare concerns?

I have been really happy with both of the Skin Doctor products that I have tried so far and the eyelift has certainly impressed me. I wonder whether it would be worth you looking at a hydrating eye cream Lauren as I can’t imagine that you have too much of an issue with ageing yet 🙂

I absolutely love Skin Doctors Eyetuck and what its done for my under-eye puffiness, so I’m eager to check out Instant Eyelift. Sounds like one of those temporary fixes that forms a film over the skin to tighten, is this right? With some of these treatments the skin crinkles weirdly if you smile/laugh once it’s on – did you experience this at all?

Ooh I haven’t tried the Eyetuck yet Di so I am please to hear that you like it. It is a temporary fix that puts a light film over the skin but I haven’t had any issues with crinkling with this one. I definitely know what you mean as I have experienced that with other similar products before. I think the main key is to ensure that you only apply a very thin film on.

I know exactly what you mean Claire. I really didn’t know which ones to try first but I tried to work out what my ‘main’ problems were first and aim to address them. I will tackle the other issues soon 🙂
