Jeunesse Instantly Ageless demo and review

2016 will see me celebrate my 47th birthday. I definitely don’t feel that old and I certainly hope I don’t look it.

I do however have the tell tale signs of an ageing woman. Fine lines and wrinkles, the odd pesky stray hair on the chin (oh the indignity of it all) and the occasional grey hair – in my eyebrows of all places!

Whilst there are parts of getting older that I would rather ignore or completely blank out of my mind (which is becoming easier as I am also tending to forget things!), I have to say that I am pretty happy with how I am travelling.

I have always taken great care of my skin after growing up in a family where my Mother was a beautician for Elizabeth Arden. I have shared my love for the brand many times as it is ‘in the blood’.

But, regardless of how well I have taken care of my skin I still have areas I would like to improve so when I was sent the often talked about Jeunesse Instantly Ageless I was intrigued and hopeful that I could rid myself of those pesky lines.

What they say:

Visibly reduce the signs of ageing with Jeunesse Global’s NEW Instantly Ageless, a powerful anti-wrinkle microcream that mimics the effects of muscle relaxers in real time – all without needles.

Instantly Ageless key benefits:

  • Helps to visibly diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness under the eyes
    Helps to even skin texture
    Minimises the appearance of pores
Mattes skin for a flawless finish

My thoughts:

Jeunesse Instantly Ageless is easy to apply and once dry leaves the skin with a matte finish.

I did notice some reduction in the finer lines around my eyes, however I did not notice any difference at all to my large frown lines between my eyes. As mentioned in the video though I wasn’t expecting any miracles as these are VERY deep set lines that only Botox can fix (and even then I would need two treatments).

Once the Instantly Ageless had dried I was aware of a slight tightening which felt ‘unusual’. It didn’t feel uncomfortable at all – it just felt different. Due to the product being skin colored it was very difficult to see the product on the skin before I applied makeup – but afterwards was a very different matter.

On one eye I tried my normal cream concealer which worked OK, but did tend to highlight the areas where I had applied the Instantly Ageless.

Figuring that I had used the wrong type of concealer, I tried using a mineral powder under the second eye. Unfortunately this resulted in my undereye area looking very patchy and dry as it stuck to the Jeunesse Instantly Ageless like glue.

My suggestion to anyone using the Jeunesse Instantly Ageless would be to have a really good play both with and without your makeup as the last thing you want to do is apply it for a big occasion and then have issues with it not working with your makeup.

If you do not suffer dark circles that require concealing you may find this works better for you than it does for me.

CONCLUSION:

Whilst I did notice some very slight reduction in my fine lines I wouldn’t say it was a huge hit for me. The larger lines around my eyes were barely reduced and during the course of the day I found my undereye area felt dry and parched.

Due to not working well with my concealer I felt self conscious either going out without concealer on, or when wearing the concealer being worried about my under eye area looking dry and patchy.

I tried the product many times varying the amount applied, different foundations and concealers but I couldn’t get it to work well for me.

In the video I mentioned the Skin Doctors Instant Eyelift which I trialled recently which is a product which has similar claims. Comparing the two I believe the Skin Doctors product comes out slightly on top. I can notice a definite reduction in my eyebags when using the Instant eyelift, the skin feels more comfortable and my makeup applies well over the top. I also prefer the consistency of the Instant eyelift as it is a serum as opposed to the cream texture of the Instantly Ageless.

If you have concerns of ageing and fine lines both of these products can help, but the very best way you can look after your skin now and in the future is to drink lots of water and to apply sunscreen EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Instantly Ageless is available by visiting www.jeunesseglobal.com. The current retail price is $96.80 for 50 x .03mL sachets

What do you think? Can you see any reduction in my fine lines? Are you tempted to try it?
