Seduced by Beauty Weekly roundup – 6 June 2016

Seduced by Beauty Weekly Rooundup 6 June 2016

Wanting to keep you up to date with some of the fabulous offers, news and announcements that I find in the beauty world, I have decided to start a new series called the Seduced by Beauty Weekly round up.

This week I will be sharing news of a fantastic competition over at Beauty Crew, a wonderful initiative by Vaseline called the Healing Project and more.

Priceline to stock NYX

This morning I woke up to the news that Priceline will be stocking one of my favourite brands – NYX.  I know that you can get NYX at Target, but I am most excited about Priceline having the range as their displays are SO much better than Target.

Whilst I hate fighting with removing the excessive amount of tape that Priceline use to ensure no-one swatches their new stock, it ensures that you receive a new product that hasn’t been tampered with.  I have lost count of the times I have had to put new stock back in Target due to it having been swatched by others – YUK.

I will update you with news as it comes to hand, but in the meantime start to get your NYX lists ready so you can stock up as soon as they are in your local store.

Beauty Crew

Have you heard of the new beauty website Beauty Crew yet?  Well, you need to head over there as they have a fantastic competition where you can win a share of $30,000 worth of beauty products just by reviewing some of your favourites.

Even though Beauty Crew is only 4 months young they have a fantastic range of writers who herald from publications such as Girlfriend, Marie Claire, Instyle, WHO, New Idea, Women’s Health, Prevention and Better Homes and Gardens.

I have spent the last few hours checking out some of their articles and have signed up to their Beauty Crew so I don’t miss a thing – it is really worth checking out.

So get reviewing and good luck xx

Adore Beauty

Make sure you get on the Adore Beauty mailing list stat as there is a VIP shopping event starting at 10am on the 7th of June.  They are promising some fantastic specials and if their past sales are anything to go by, this is something you do not want to miss.  Maybe start on your Christmas shopping (sorry – I just had to put it out there!!)

Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown Must Have Mini's
Whilst I certainly don’t NEED any more makeup at the moment, this beautiful Bobbi Brown Mini Must Haves for $80 has been calling my name.  I already adore Bobbi’s Cream shadow stick, but I love the look of the Mini Pot rouge in Pale Pink and a small size of the BB cream would be perfect for my travel bag.  Can I resist?

The Vaseline Healing Project

Vaseline® has partnered with Direct Relief, an international medical aid organization, to launch The Vaseline® Healing Project. The project will provide medical supplies, dermatological care, and Vaseline® products to help restore the skin of five million people living in the wake of crisis and disaster by 2020.

Vaseline The Healing Project

It never occurred to us to prioritize basic remedies, like Vaseline® Jelly, for a medical mission until we traveled to Jordan for the first time,” said Dr. Bandow a participant on the first dermatological mission. “On-the-ground we realized how the simplest skin remedies– sometimes taken for granted in our lives – can make an extraordinary difference.

Vaseline donated over 1.2million jars of Petroleum Jelly in 2015 to those who need it the most and we can help too by:

  • Sending Relief Kits Across the Globe: People are invited to visit Vaseline.com.au/thehealingproject to build a relief kit for someone in need. Donations like these help Direct Relief to send over $500 million in essential resources to people in need every year.
  • From April in July, you can make a difference by purchasing a Vaseline Jelly or Vaseline Lotion product, as each pack will donate to Direct Relief to help provide skin relief to those living in extraordinary circumstances.
  • See Healing Aid All Over the World: An online aid map tracks and displays where The Vaseline Healing Project is supporting aid around the world. Find it at Vaseline.com.au/thehealingproject

The So Brave Breast Cancer calendar

calendarproduct

As I mentioned in this post, my talented friend Wendy Fantasia has been working for months painting breast cancer survivors for an amazing calendar supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Well I am happy to report that calendars are available for sale.  Final images will be released in July, but you can pre-order now.

New Product on trial

This week I am starting to trial a new cleanser from Antipodes.

Antipodes Grapeseed butter cleanser

I have never tried a ‘butter cleanser’ before so I am intrigued to see how I go.  It claims to leave your skin beautifully clean and fresh by using certified and organic ingredients such as hibiscus flower and Vinanza Grape extract which is an antioxidant from New Zealand’s sauvignon blanc grape seeds.

I’ll let you know how I go in next week’s weekly roundup.

What beauty related news can you share?

What a great idea for a weekly post!

I’ve joined the Beauty Crew but really need to spend some time familiarising myself with their website and reading more of their articles.

I’ll be interested to read what your thoughts are on the Antipodes Butter Cleanser. It’s one downfall in my eyes is having to use a wash cloth to remove it from my face after use when I’m in a hurry in the shower in the mornings. If I weren’t always in a hurry in the mornings I’d love this product more.

Loving this category Kate – I miss SO many deals because I don’t (can’t!) keep up with all the latest news, so I’m super grateful for your roundup. I’ve tried a few samples of Antipodes products, and have been overwhelmingly impressed, so looking forward to reading your review of this cleansing butter – yum!
