South Australia’s Lush Bloggers United 1st year birthday

On a cold and wet Saturday in June Nici from Beauty and Food and I met with a lovely group of South Australian bloggers to join with Lush as part of the Bloggers United first birthday celebrations.

I have had a long standing love affair with Lush and I am always excited to head back into the store as it is a visual and olfactory delight.Lush bath bomb heaven

We even have Akira the star of the latest Lush campaign at our local Marion Store!

Once everyone was welcomed to the event we were given an in depth run down of some of the fresh ingredients that Lush use in their delectable products.  Some of the products sound good enough to eat!

We learned about the properties of bananas, avocadoes, almonds, and even the more unusual ingredient, potatoes!   This then lead us to an exciting and fun treasure hunt where we were given a sheet with ingredients and our job was to find the products that contained them.  It sounds much easier than it actually was!

Treasure Hunt

We were given 10 minutes to complete our task and then the race was on.  My partner and I still hadn’t found 3 of the combinations, but Steph and Felicia were on the money and won a HUGE box of fabulous Lush products to share!

We were kindly gifted The Great Barrier solid hydrating wash and the Kerbside Violet solid perfume along with our choice of product.  I have fallen heavily in love with Lush Shower Cream’s so chose The Comforter shower cream and cannot wait to try it – I am just waiting until I have finished my current bottle of Yummy Mummy shower cream.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Lush and the Marion team for a fabulous night. I know the attendees had a great time exploring the store and also having the opportunity to celebrate Bloggers United’s first birthday together.

What are your favourite Lush products?
